Job Summary:
The Intermediate Interior BIM Manager will play a key role in supporting interior designers to complete BIM documentation for healthcare projects. The position requires expertise in BIM software and the ability to input accurate room data in BIM models, with potential utilization of dRofus for certain projects.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with interior designers and BIM teams to ensure seamless BIM integration in interior design projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with interior designers and project teams to understand BIM requirements for healthcare interior design projects.
- Support interior designers in the development and completion of BIM documentation, including room data input, furniture layouts, and interior finishes.
- Utilize BIM software, such as Autodesk Revit, to create and maintain accurate BIM models for interior spaces in healthcare facilities.
- Ensure that BIM models align with established BIM standards and project-specific requirements.
- Work closely with the BIM Manager and BIM teams to integrate interior design elements into multidisciplinary BIM models.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to input and manage room data in BIM, including room numbers, areas, and finishes.
- Assist in the implementation of BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) for interior design projects, detailing BIM deliverables and milestones.
- Coordinate with the project team to ensure BIM data exchange is efficient and seamless throughout the design process.
- Depending on the project, use dRofus to input and manage room data, finishes, and furniture schedules.
- Stay informed about industry trends, advancements, and best practices related to BIM in interior design and healthcare architecture.
- Provide technical support and training to interior designers on BIM software and workflows as needed.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of BIM-related documentation, including templates and guidelines for interior design projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in BIM coordination, with a focus on interior design projects in the healthcare sector.
- Proficiency in BIM software, such as Autodesk Revit, and potential experience with dRofus for room data management.
- Strong understanding of BIM standards and protocols for interior design projects.
- Experience in accurately inputting room data, finishes, and furniture layouts in BIM models.
- Familiarity with sustainable design principles and LEED certification is a plus.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple interior design BIM documentation tasks.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines efficiently.
