Job Summary:

The Senior Interior Design Lead/Manager will play a pivotal role in leading the interior design department and overseeing the development of creative and innovative interior design solutions for healthcare facilities.

This position requires a strong background in healthcare interior design, project management, and leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the interior design department, providing mentorship and guidance to interior design staff.
  • Oversee the development and execution of interior design projects from concept to completion.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other design disciplines to integrate interior design solutions seamlessly.
  • Drive the creation of design concepts, space planning, and material selections for healthcare facilities.
  • Ensure that interior design projects align with client needs, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Lead design presentations to clients, stakeholders, and project teams, effectively communicating design concepts.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Provide expertise in selecting furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) suitable for healthcare environments.
  • Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to procure interior design materials and finishes.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, new materials, and emerging technologies in healthcare interior design.
  • Oversee the preparation of construction documents, detailing, and specifications for interior design elements.
  • Ensure that interior design projects meet sustainable design and LEED certification requirements.
  • Participate in business development activities, including client meetings and proposal development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in interior design, with a focus on healthcare projects.
  • Previous experience in a leadership or management role within an interior design practice is essential.
  • Demonstrated portfolio of successful healthcare interior design projects.
  • Proficiency in using design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare design principles, evidence-based design, and patient-centered care concepts.
  • Knowledge of relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards for healthcare facilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey design concepts to clients and project teams.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage interior design projects from concept to completion.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills to meet project deadlines and budgets.
  • Leadership capabilities to inspire and motivate interior design teams.
  • Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) and 3D visualization tools is advantageous.
