Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Level Clinical Design Lead to join our healthcare architecture design practice. The Clinical Design Lead will be responsible for leading and coordinating the clinical planning and design of complex healthcare projects, as well as serving as a mentor to junior staff members.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare design, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate the clinical planning and design of complex healthcare projects
  • Serve as a mentor to junior staff members
  • Participate in the development of project goals, objectives, and design concepts
  • Conduct research on healthcare trends and best practices
  • Lead and participate in user group meetings and workshops
  • Collaborate with architects and engineers to develop functional and spatial requirements
  • Develop space programs and equipment lists
  • Develop clinical design solutions, including functional diagrams and flow diagrams
  • Develop medical equipment and furniture specifications
  • Review and approve design documents for clinical functionality
  • Provide guidance and feedback on the work of junior staff members
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare design standards, regulations, and best practices
  • Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare clients and clinical staff
  • Other duties as assigned by senior management

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in healthcare design, including experience in clinical planning and design
  • Experience leading and mentoring a team of designers
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare design standards, regulations, and best practices
  • Working knowledge of planning capabilities of AutoCAD and Revit
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Understanding of sustainability and energy-efficient design principles
  • Experience with LEED certification a plus
