SENIOR CONTRACT ADMINISTRATOR

The employee-owned firm is staffed with well over 140 experienced architects, designers, project managers, administrative staff, including LEED, Evidence-Based Design and LEAN accredited professionals, many of whom are dedicated to specific market sectors. We believe in personalizing the design experience for clients and maintaining a hands-on approach to projects. Every project we undertake has the direct involvement of Directors and Principals. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review and negotiate contract terms with clients, suppliers, and sub-contractors.
- Maintain and organize project contract documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as legal and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate and resolve contract-related issues with internal teams and stakeholders.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and change orders.
- Prepare and submit contract invoices and manage contract close-out processes.
- Collaborate with project managers and other teams to ensure project success.
- Manage and respond to RFIs (Request for Information) in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, clients, and authorities having jurisdiction.
- Assemble construction drawing revisions, including site plans, floor plans, elevations, building sections, wall sections, details, schedules etc.
- Participate and act on behalf of the form as the project CA lead during regularly scheduled site meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- 10+ years of experience in contract administration within the architecture or construction industry.
- Degree or diploma from an accredited institution in Architecture.
- Strong knowledge of contract law, building technology/assemblies, construction methodology, materials application, and interpretation of manufacturers' requirements.
- Proficiency in Revit, BIM 360, BIM Docs, BlueBeam, Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Fully versed in the BC Building Code and have experience with large-scale institutional buildings.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized and able to manage time, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Self-motivated individual, capable of assuming increasing responsibility for both current and future projects and interested in growing with the firm.
