REGIONAL SUSTAINABILITY LEAD
Job Summary:
Our architecture practice is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Sustainability Lead to support and integrate sustainability initiatives across projects, client engagements, and team workflows within the region. The Regional Sustainability Lead will act as the primary sustainability resource for local teams, ensuring sustainability strategies are incorporated early in project delivery and aligned with firmwide performance targets.
The ideal candidate will have strong sustainable design experience, excellent facilitation and communication skills, and the ability to mentor staff while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide early-stage sustainability input across projects within the region
- Serve as Sustainability Lead on assigned projects including alliance delivery, design-build, and major renovations
- Lead client sustainability visioning sessions and translate goals into measurable project KPIs
- Align project sustainability strategies with firmwide targets and performance metrics
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary consultants to integrate sustainable solutions
- Mentor Sustainability Coordinators and Analysts within the region
- Support knowledge sharing and promote sustainability best practices across project teams
- Track and report regional progress against firmwide sustainability targets
- Act as liaison between regional teams and the Firmwide Sustainability Lead
- Support project teams in communicating sustainable design value to clients and stakeholders
- Contribute project feedback to support continuous improvement of firmwide sustainability strategy
- Other duties as assigned by senior management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Environmental Design, or related field
- 5 to 8 years of experience in sustainable design, preferably in healthcare or institutional projects
- LEED AP required
- WELL AP, Passive House, or equivalent accreditation considered an asset
- Strong facilitation and client engagement skills
- Experience mentoring staff and coordinating across multidisciplinary consultant teams
- Ability to translate sustainability goals into measurable project KPIs
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Understanding of building performance metrics, codes, and sustainability frameworks

Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000 / Annually
