Job Summary:

The Junior Finance and Accounting Support will play a vital role in providing essential financial assistance and contributing to the smooth operation of our firm.

This position is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to gain valuable experience in finance and accounting while working with Deltek Vantagepoint software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with various financial and accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Process and reconcile invoices, purchase orders, and vendor payments using Deltek Vantagepoint accounting software.
  • Support the finance team in tracking project expenses and maintaining accurate project accounting records.
  • Assist in financial reporting tasks, such as preparing profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
  • Conduct financial analysis and cost tracking to assist in budget management and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to maintain organized and up-to-date financial records.
  • Assist in payroll processing and employee benefits administration, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Assist with bank statement and credit card transaction reconciliations.
  • Participate in financial audits and collaborate with auditors as required.
  • Support the finance team in various financial projects and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • Some experience or exposure to finance and accounting through internships, coursework, or entry-level positions is desirable.
  • Familiarity with accounting principles and basic financial concepts.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage financial data effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain financial records accurately.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and a proactive attitude toward taking on new challenges.
  • Basic understanding of Deltek Vantagepoint software is a plus, but not required (training will be provided).
