Job Summary:

The Intermediate IT Manager will be responsible for overseeing the IT operations of our architecture firm, which includes approximately 200 employees and 3 office locations. They will work closely with our IT team and other stakeholders to ensure that our IT infrastructure and systems are reliable, secure, and meet the needs of the organization.

The successful candidate will have a strong IT background, excellent communication and leadership skills, and experience managing IT operations in a similar organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the IT operations of our architecture firm, including hardware, software, and networking infrastructure
  • Manage the IT team, including hiring, training, and performance management
  • Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to ensure that our IT infrastructure and systems are reliable, secure, and meet the needs of the organization
  • Manage the IT budget, including forecasting, monitoring, and reporting
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for IT-related products and services
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to IT operations
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends and technologies, and apply this knowledge to improve our IT operations
  • Communicate IT-related information to stakeholders, including management, staff, and clients
  • Provide technical support and guidance to staff as required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in an IT management role in a similar organization
  • Strong technical skills, including experience with networking, hardware, and software systems
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Professionalism, with a strong work ethic and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to IT operations
