Job Summary:
The Intermediate Project Manager will play a critical role in overseeing the successful delivery of healthcare architecture projects, ensuring client satisfaction, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
This position requires a strong understanding of project management principles, architectural processes, and healthcare design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee healthcare architecture projects from initiation to completion, adhering to established budgets, schedules, and quality standards.
- Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including architects, designers, engineers, consultants, and clients.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring efficient project execution.
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize potential issues.
- Facilitate project meetings, including kick-off meetings, progress reviews, and milestone discussions.
- Track project progress, provide regular status updates, and communicate project milestones to the project team and clients.
- Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, RFIs, and other project-related documents.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and industry standards in all project phases.
- Collaborate with the design team to ensure design intent and client requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and verify alignment with design intent.
- Oversee project closeout procedures, including final documentation, punch lists, and project handover.
- Mentor and guide junior project team members, providing support and fostering professional growth.
- Collaborate with business development teams to pursue new healthcare architecture opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in architecture, Construction Management, or a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably with a focus on healthcare architecture projects.
- Strong understanding of architectural design and construction processes.
- Proven experience in successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Knowledge of project management software and tools.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and leadership abilities to manage project teams and clients.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness in project documentation.
- Familiarity with Canadian healthcare regulations and building codes is advantageous.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus (optional).
