Job Summary:
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of architecture projects, from conception to completion.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in architecture project management, a proven track record of successful project delivery, and excellent leadership and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage architecture projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Collaborate with clients to define project objectives, scope, and requirements, and ensure alignment with the firm's strategic goals.
- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress throughout all project phases.
- Coordinate and manage project teams, including architects, designers, engineers, and consultants, to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
- Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, motivating and inspiring them to achieve project goals and exceed client expectations.
- Review and approve project deliverables, including architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
- Manage project risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, addressing any concerns and ensuring their satisfaction with project outcomes.
- Prepare and deliver project presentations to clients, senior management, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in architecture and project management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in architecture project management, with a focus on a variety of project types and sizes.
- Proven track record of successful project delivery, with completed projects of varying complexities.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry standards in Canada.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize workload effectively.
- Experience with LEED certification and sustainable design practices is a plus.
